MEEKER | The Rio Blanco County Historical Society is proud to announce that we have finally finished a long overdue project at the Old West Heritage Culture Center.
In 2015, the Strategic Plan was to create a center for community gathering, celebration, culture and art. Although is the exterior of the building is scheduled for a facelift in the spring of 2020, the interior is ready to be shared with the community. With the ongoing support of the county, the center now offers seating capacity for 65, surround sound, a theatre projection system and the works. We have also installed art hangers with lighting for use with traditional art, photos or quilts.
Birthday parties, baby showers, family get-togethers, movie nights, company and holiday parties are just some of the things that could be enjoyed at the Rio Blanco County Historical Society.
The best part is that we are making it available to the community at no fee. Of course donations are always accepted. If you would like to use the center, please schedule it at the White River Museum and complete the contract for use. You will be required to leave a credit card on file for damages and will be expected to clean up after yourself. One of our representatives will be available to help you access the internet, wifi, surround sound and theater system.
