Several hundred people took advantage of Spring Expo 2013, held at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds in Meeker on Saturday as a fundraiser to benefit Meeker cancer victim Toni Simmons, who has large travel expenses pending as she travels the country seeking treatment. Spring Expo organizer Stacy LeBlanc said there were more than 20 vendors on hand and that between $2,000 and $3,000 were raised. “It went very well,” LeBlanc said. “People are already looking forward to next year, when we will choose a different family for the benefit.”
