MEEKER — The annual meeting for St. James Episcopal church was Sunday, Jan. 27.
Attendees enjoyed one of the church’s famous pot luck lunches after church, followed by the meeting.
Father Scott Hollenbeck, who has been at the church since Nov. 1, opened his first annual meeting at St. James.
Business of 2007 was reviewed and a budget approved for 2008.
Current and newly elected vestry members are: Bren Sullivan, senior warden; Carol Hollowed, junior warden; Toby Smith, secretary/treasurer; Jan Oldland, Avis Loshbaugh and Jeanne Jones.
One of the several reports reviewed was from the women’s guild. It reminded us of all the projects that happen throughout the year, on our property as well as in the community.
The church is looking forward to a visit from the Episcopal Bishop of Colorado, the Rt. Rev. Rob O’Neill, on Sunday, Feb. 24.
