MEEKER — While playing with friends during men’s night last week to practice for the upcoming White River Electric Tournament, Grant Stewart recorded his first hole in one.
“My timing was a little off, I could have used the car,” Stewart said of acing No. 7 at the Meeker Golf Course. Had Stewart made the shot during the WREA tournament on the front nine, he would have won a new GMC vehicle, donated by Northwest Auto.
Stewart was still excited about the feat. He used his pitching wedge for the ace, which was witnessed by Pat Hughes, along with Pat and Andy Coryell.
“We were playing a side game of wolf and I wolfed it when it went in the cup,” Stewart said. “My hand was numb after all the high fives.”
