MEEKER | In June, Streaker activities were as follows:
Eighteen days of Chuck Wagon with 16 riders, 307 stops in Meeker, including 55 medical. Ten riders to Rifle for shopping, two medical riders and five riders for shopping to Grand Junction. There were four riders for church. On June 29, the Streaker took 11 riders to Marble and Redstone. It was a relaxing and fun day for everyone. On June 22, we took 18 residents from the Walbridge Wing to South Fork. The gals and guys from the Walbridge Wing brought all the fixings for a fine lunch. We had hummingbirds buzz around and the sound of the river made for a peaceful setting. On June 18, the Meeker Chuck Wagon hosted a lunch at the park. The food was good and the weather was great. Thanks to Shona and Tiger Richardson for all their hard work putting everything together and making the lunch a success. On June 5, the Streaker transported 17 riders from the Walbridge Wing to the Old-timers’ get-together in Meeker. The music was fantastic and everyone enjoyed going. On June 1, the Streaker transported six riders to Radino Senior Center in Rangely.
The Streaker welcomes all riders regardless of age. Call Judy at (970) 942-7125 to make an appointment and/or to receive a calendar.
