Rangely Guardsmen return home

RANGELY I In July, Utah National Guardsman and Rangely High School graduate Greg Skelton left with brother Brian and childhood friend Zachary Green for a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan with the 624th Engineer Co., 1457th Engineer Battalion.

For the sake of the call

Rangely High School graduates Brian, Greg and Mark Skelton and their friend and classmate Zach Green are all members of a National Guard unit based in Vernal, Utah. The four, pictured here in Central America during annual training last summer, will be deployed to Afghanistan this summer for a nine to 13 month tour.

Hall deployed to Afghanistan

RBC I Tyler Hall, a former Meeker student and the son of Randy and Debra Hall of Meeker was deployed for the second time on Oct. 30. His first deployment was in 2007, when he spent nine months in Iraq. This time he’ll be in Afghanistan for a minimum of nine months.
