MEEKER — For the first time in several years, Meeker High School was the site of the district basketball tournament, where four girls’ and four boys’ teams played for a district title and seeds in the upcoming regional tournaments, which all eight teams will advance to.
RANGELY — The question of which Panther team will show up continued at the 2A district tournament last weekend in Meeker. And both made an appearance.
MEEKER — For the second time in three years, the Meeker High School boys’ basketball team has won the District 5 tournament.

MEEKER — The Cowboys started the district basketball tournament in convincing style last Saturday with a lopsided 88-35 victory over the West Grand Mustangs in Meeker for the first round of the playoffs.
MEEKER — Rangely’s girls’ basketball team will play Paonia at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 2A District 5 tournament at Meeker High School.
RANGELY — In what was the final home game for the seniors on the RHS girls basketball team, it was a total team effort that made sure they went out with a win against the West Grand Mustangs.
MEEKER — The Meeker girls’ basketball team ended the season for the Lady Cowboys from Plateau Valley last Saturday in the first round of the district tournament and will now host the final four teams this Friday and Saturday.
