MEEKER I On Saturday, about 45 people attended a book signing by former Meeker resident Diane Les Becquets for her latest novel “Breaking Wild” at Meeker Public Library. The event was sponsored by Les Becquets’ publisher (Berkley, Penguin Random House).
MEEKER I Former Meeker resident and published novelist Diane Les Becquets returns to Meeker for a book reading, presentation and signing of her new novel, “Breaking Wild,” on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at Meeker Public Library. A question and answer session will also be an integral part of the event.

Author Sandy Munro (center) held a book signing at Wendll’s Wondrous Things in Meeker last week for his book “Finding Uri,” about the father he never knew. Munro’s grandson, Uri Goedert, a Barone Middle School sixth-grader and his great-grandfather’s namesake, also signed a book for his aunt, Cindy Welle.
MEEKER I The box that came to Sandy Munro a few months after his mother passed away in 2007, was a virtual time machine into the past. The love story that emerged from the correspondence between Munro’s father and mother is now available as a book titled, “Finding Uri,” published by People’s Press.

Former Meeker resident Danny Campbell and his long-time friend Mary Hartwig were at Avis’ on the Corner for a book signing of Campbell’s autobiography, titled “A Wet Ass and a Hungry Gut.” The entertaining book is based on Campbell’s nearly 50 years in the White River Valley.
MEEKER I Danny Campbell was a resident of Meeker from 1958 until 1991.
