On March 6, Cub Scout Pack 190 of Meeker held its annual Pinewood Derby car-racing event. The races lasted in excess of an hour and included 17 Cub Scout cars and eight open-class cars.

Rangely Cub Scout Pack 191 awarded four of their Webelo scouts with the Arrow of Light award, the Cub Scout equivalent to the Boy Scout’s Eagle award.

MEEKER I Cub Scout Pack 91 invites all boys ages 6-10 (first through fifth grade) and their parents to a new member welcoming meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds building at 779 Sulphur Creek Rd.

In the Law of the Pack, a Cub Scout gives good will, and in the Boy Scout Promise, a Boy Scout promises to help other people at all times. By participating in a Scouting for Food program, local scouts came a step closer to fulfilling those words.
