Rangely residents were able to enjoy a great fireworks display on Friday, and their show is always enhanced as the hundreds of viewers also have the double image cast as the fireworks explode in their splendor over Kenney Reservoir.

Grand fireworks show set for dark on Fourth of July

This is one of the fireworks from July 4, 2013, shot off at dark from Highland Cemetery above Meeker’s Town Park and Circle Park. There are a number of locations in town where the cemetery hill is clearly visible.

Rifle fireworks display tonight

RIFLE I Rifle will celebrate Independence Day over two days this year with a concert and fireworks display at Centennial Park tonight.

Meeker and Rangely both have spectacular fireworks displays but because of extreme hot and dry weather conditions and current fires burning in the state, both fire chiefs wisely announced this year’s Fourth of July displays would be cancelled.
