Two-time District Champions…

The Colorado River Valley All-stars, which includes four girls from Meeker, three from Rangely and three from New Castle, won the District 1 championship for a second year in a row and will represent the western slope in the state tournament in Denver. RBC I For the second year in a row, the Colorado River Valley 14-Under All-stars won the 14-and-under District 1 Fast Pitch Softball Championships in Grand Junction, allowing them to advance to the state tournament Saturday in Denver.

11-12 fast-pitch team wins championship

Meeker’s 11-12 year old girls’ softball team won the Valley Youth League championship last week by coming back through the loser’s bracket and beat New Castle twice in a row to win the team title.
