MEEKER I Three young hunters — two from Meeker — recently learned the art of hunting gobblers courtesy of Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s 2013 Hunter Outreach Program’s Youth Turkey Hunt. Guided by CPW officers, the novices learned new skills and strategies during a high-quality private land hunt in April.

MEEKER I An eight-year investigation by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has culminated in U.S. District Court Judge Christine Arguello sentencing Dennis Eugene Rodebaugh, 72, owner of D & S Outfitters of Meeker, to 41 months in federal prison.
Conserving world-class habitat
