MEEKER I Roughly 90 people were present the evening of March 12 as the Rio Blanco County commissioners unveiled their concept drawing for turning the old Meeker Elementary School into a new justice center, which would hold the county jail, courts, sheriff’s office, county attorney and staff and court-related offices.

MES Library keeps kids busy, entertained
MEEKER I During January, Meeker Elementary School students enjoyed special happenings in the library. Students enjoyed a 4-H program presented by Dessa Watson and Jamie Moyer as well as Science Week and Spirit Week.
MES Library gets $3,000 grant
MEEKER | The Meeker Elementary School Library is pleased to announce it has received a grant in the amount of $3,000 from the Colorado State Library through the State Grants to Libraries Act.

More than 25 Meeker Elementary School kids, parents, family members and even pets showed up Saturday to run/walk a 5K, as part of MES teacher Vicky Tate’s physical education class and 100 Mile Club program.
