MHS volleyball opens at Glenwood Springs

The Lady Cowboy volleyball team will open the varsity season in Glenwood Springs this weekend. “We play up in Glenwood, there are mostly 3-4 and 5A schools,” coach Christy Atwood said of the upcoming competition for her 2A varsity team. “We’ll use it as a measuring stick to see where we are competing.”

MEEKER I Eight Meeker High School students and one teacher, Bob Dorsett, are participating in a nine-day field science project studying marine life in Baja California Sur. Members of Meeker Fire and Rescue participated in the Nov. 15 training exercise at Meeker High School. Susan Sammons of Meeker Ambulance participated in a hazardous materials exercise. A radiologic technologist at Pioneers Medical Center, was one of the community volunteers.
