MEEKER I The annual PEO Quilt Show will be held Friday and Saturday at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center in Meeker, 200 Main St., featuring new and old quilts to raise funds for educational assistance and opportunities for women.

Members of the local P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) gathered at the annual quilt show held at the old elementary school during the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials.
Seeds of ideas “sewn” in P.E.O.
MEEKER I The seed was first “sewn” a few years ago. It was but a spark of an idea that our small town of Meeker could host a show featuring the unique handiwork of quilters from across the northwest corner of our state.
