Meeker citizen Tom George was recognized by Meeker chief of police Bob Hervey of the police department and Meeker’s Board of Trustees including Mayor Mandi Ethridge for his actions to help locate and apprehend the alleged suspect charged in the robbery of Mountain Valley Bank.

Bank robbery suspect in custody in RBC jail

Hobbs wins bugling contest

Meeker Chief of Police Bob Hervey and Lieutenant Phil Stubblefield stand with Kesston Hobbs, the overall grand champion of the elk bugling and camouflage competition.

MEEKER I Kesston Hobbs, a fourth-grader at Meeker Elementary School, was named the overall grand champion at the 2011 elk bugling and camouflage contest sponsored by the Meeker Police Department and White River Electric Association.
