OHV trails: Moving ahead

Several organizers from the Colorado Off Highway Vehicles Coalition (COHVCO) and Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders came to “scope” out the area for the upcoming White River COHVCO Rendezvous, scheduled over the July Fourth weekend before they joined locals at Mexican House in Meeker for dinner. Riding from Yellow Jacket Pass to Lake Avery and back Friday last and near Rio Blanco Lake and Hay Gulch Saturday were Tyler Lane, Terry Davis, John Lane, Jeff Eskelson, Kristen Eskelson, Jim Wey, Katelin Cook, John Bongiovanni, Michele Morgan, Regas Halandras and Linda Bongiovanni. Not pictured but an OHV driver was  Kimberly Bullen.

RBC I “There is a lot of momentum behind this project and it is very exciting,” Meeker Chamber of Commerce director Katelin Cook said of the Wagon Wheel Trail Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) trail system.

OHV project rolls forward

MEEKER I Plans for the off-highway vehicle (OHV) project continue to move forward. Project proponents are looking at approximately 150 miles of trails.
