MEEKER I The Range Call celebration has once again come to a successful end. This year saw new events as well as the long-standing tradition of rodeo, and what a rodeo it was.

127th Range Call ranch rodeo results released
MEEKER I The 2012 Range Call Celebration came to close with the annual Ranch Rodeo. Seven teams entered the “Four-Man” event where four team members work together to tie down a roping steer, brand a calf, pen a yearling, and milk a cow.
Rodeo showcases skills of local ranchers, cowboys
MEEKER I Once again, the Range Call Ranch Rodeo showcased the outstanding ranching skills of local ranchers. This year’s winning team included locals Lenny Klinglesmith, Travis Anderson, Lance Pakuer, and former Meeker resident Ryan Vroman.
Kids’ events add to rodeo fun
MEEKER I Don’t miss the Ranch Rodeo and Calcutta, which start at 2 p.m. Monday, July 4, at the fairgrounds. Local ranches — some of which have been around as long as Range Call itself — compete in events taken from daily ranch life, like trailer loading.
