Construction of the new Rangely District Hospital in Rangely is complete and equipment and furniture are being installed under direction of state inspectors.

Gail Palmer of Rangely was honored with a luncheon at Giovanni’s Italian Grill April 19 for her 16 years of volunteer service to the Rangely District Hospital’s medical records department.

New RDH going up

The steel is going up on the new Rangely District Hospital and the nice weather is helping the construction progress.

Rangely District Hospital CEO Nick Goshe said the dirt work for the new hospital is almost complete and contractors have begun drilling and pouring the caissons for the foundation.

With bulldozers in the background, Rangely District Hospital board members Jack Rich (president), Rob Mackey, Marty Estes (secretary/treasurer), Buford Adams and CEO Nick Goshe, broke ground on the site of the new hospital (Steve Petersburg, vice president of the RDH board was not pictured).

RANGELY I No dirt has been moved yet. There are no workers on the job site. But there’s plenty going on behind the scenes with the new Rangely District Hospital. Voters in May approved a bond election to fund construction of the $38.7 million facility.
