Lady Panthers finish 4th

RANGELY I After losses to Meeker and Hayden in the district tournament, the lady Panther basketball team will advance as the fourth seed in the Region 4 tournament this weekend in Denver and will play Lutheran at Metro State College at 6 p.m. Friday.

Ladies advance to playoffs

Ladies beat Plateau Valley 48-30

RANGELY I The Rangely girls’ basketball team pounded the lady Cowboys from Plateau Valley 48-30 at home and will finish the regular season on the road, in Meeker Friday and Paonia Saturday. “It wasn’t pretty but it was a win,” head coach Jimmie Mergelman said.

Lady Panthers lose at home, win on the road

Rangely’s lone senior on the lady Panther basketball team pulls down a rebound against Hayden while surrounded by Hayden players and teammates Brittany Babineaux (20) and Hailee Russell. The lady Panthers won the game and will host North Park this Saturday.

RANGELY I The lady Panthers lost at home to the Paonia Eagles 34-66 in a non-league game but came home from Hayden Saturday last with a 42-33 league victory. The lady Panthers are now 5-2 in league games and 9-5 overall. They will host the North Park lady Wildcats this Saturday.
