Homecoming weeks end Saturday

RBC I Meeker and Rangely high school Homecoming Week activities are well underway with the respective Homecoming dances on Saturday night culminating the week’s events.

Homecoming week to begin on Monday for Rangely High students

RANGELY I Rangely High School is quickly gearing up for its 2015 Homecoming celebration. Beginning Monday, the Panthers will begin the many traditional Homecoming activities including the football team taking on the Hayden Tigers. All week long, students at Rangely Junior/Senior High School will be celebrating with spirit days.

Rangely Homecoming filled with fun activities, contests

Crowned king and queen  of the 2014 Rangely High School Homecoming royalty were King Ethan Allred, left, and Queen Simone Heinle, right. A wide variety of activities were held all week long, culminating with the Homecoming dance on Saturday. The parade theme this year was “Electric Avenue.”

RANGELY I Rangely High School students are enjoying homecoming events this week with the theme of “A Hero’s Homecoming.”

Kurt and Vicki Douglas were the Grand Marshals for the 2012 Homecoming parade and Angie Fortunato and Clay Allred served as crown bearers for the annual event.

Panthers receive new scoreboard

The Rangely Panthers lit up their new scoreboard at Yeager Field during their 61-6 homecoming win over the Nucla Mustangs.

RANGELY I A new scoreboard was installed and dedicated last week at the 2012 homecoming game against the Nucla Mustangs. The Panthers lit up the new scoreboard, scoring 61 points, while only allowing the Mustangs 6.

Panthers win homecoming

First-year Panther football coach Paul Fortunato credited the play of his defensive and offensive linemen, who played hard and opened big holes for running backs like Wesley Goddard to run through.

RANGELY I Wins for the Rangely Panther football team and first year head coach Paul Fortunato have been hard to come by this season but the Rangely players and coaches earned a victory over the Lake County Panthers in the 2011 homecoming game held last Saturday on Yeager Field.
