Rangely volleyball season ends early

The RHS volleyball season ended at the district tournament in Grand Valley, earlier than expected. The lady Panthers defeated Vail Mountain School in the first round of pool play but then lost to West Grand, eliminating them from the tournament. Teams needed to win their pool in order to advance to the state-qualifying regional tournament.

RANGELY I The Rangely volleyball team had a big weekend playing Plateau Valley Friday night and Cedaredge on Saturday before traveling to Meeker Tuesday night to win an exciting county match up.

RANGELY I The Rangely High School volleyball team beat Hotchkiss handily Friday night with a balanced offensive effort led by Katelyn Brown with seven kills, Katye Allred had six, Sarah Connor had five, Lindzey Thacker added four and Kassidy Brannan finished with two kills.

On Friday, the Rangely High School girls’ volleyball team sponsored the annual Glow Run with several adults and kids taking part in the 5K run/walk. First place went to Dr. Casey Aguirre with a time of 23.23; second went to Calibe Lawson with a time of 23.26; and third went to Kenneth Henson with a time of 23.40.
