Septemberfest 2012, by all accounts, can be considered a success. Fun in the mud kicked off the celebration, which included a well-attended Ice Cream Social at the Rangely Outdoor Museum, fun in the park, a parade and the barbecue was served with a smile.

RANGELY I To attend Septemberfest’s craft fair and park events Monday afternoon was to get a sense of scope. Canopied vendor tables arched across the grassy sweep of Elks Park.

RANGELY I It’s a bit cliché, perhaps, to claim that a certain attraction or event has “something for everyone.” But some clichés exist because there’s truth behind them, and if Septemberfest can continue to offer the diversity of events it has over the last few years, I say we let the event claim the saying. Letter: No Dutch ovens

I regret I’ll not be able to bring dutch oven desserts to accompany the Rangely Museum Society’s Ice Cream Social this Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4. Last year I was joined by Bill & Mike Zadra and we had a great time sharing our dutch oven creations.
