Pontine finishes 4th at state

Meeker’s Devon Pontine concluded a good year with a fourth-place finish at the Colorado Middle School State Championships. Meeker was well-represented with 12 wrestlers competing in the event.

Rangely Tracksters open in Hotchkiss

Coming back from spring break with one full week of practice the Rangely track team opened the season in Hotchkiss last Saturday.

Shelton wins 7th title

Meeker’s T.J. Shelton, a seventh-grader at Barone Middle School is pictured with all the trophies and belt he has won this season. Shelton has won seven national wrestling titles in four different states this season and has compiled a 73-10 record.

T.J. Shelton, a seventh-grader at Barone Middle School won his seventh national title, since last November, in Denver last weekend, winning the 122-pound bracket of the Rocky Mountain Nationals.

Watt wins Lischke tournament

Rangely boys eighth, girls 12th at regionals
