MEEKER I Christina Sacha, the Colorado director for the Miss Teen World pageant system is announcing that the search is on for the new Miss Teen Meeker-World. Once selected, the community representative will then advance on to compete in the Miss Teen Colorado-World Pageant to be held April 30 at the Davis Theater on D.U. campus. City and county titleholders will compete to win more than $10,000 in prizes, one of which includes an all expense paid trip to the national Miss Teen United States-World pageant.
Interested applicants must live or work in the Meeker area, must be between the ages of 13-19 during the time of competition and a resident of the state for at least six months. There is no performing talent.
The Miss Teen United States-World and Miss Teen World Pageant is dedicated to recognizing the one person who represents today’s modern teenager! It is the only internationally recognized pageant for teens. The state winner advances onto the national Miss Teen United-States pageant and an opportunity to represent our country at the Miss Teen World pageant. While beauty and physical fitness are key elements in the competition, Miss Teen Colorado-World contestants are also urged to voice their opinions on community and important issues of the day.
