MEEKER I First National Bank of the Rockies president and CEO Pete Waller has announced that Angelo (Butch) Theos has been elected to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
“Butch’s deep ties to the community, business acumen and knowledge of the agriculture industry make him an ideal director for our community bank,” said Waller.
A third generation sheep rancher, Theos grew up in the Meeker area where he is currently in partnership with his wife and son. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and currently serves on boards for the Colorado Sheep Industry and the American Sheep Association.
“I believe my knowledge of ranching and farming can bring a valuable perspective to FNBR’s board,” said Theos. “My family has been doing business with First National Bank of the Rockies for more than 50 years and its long track record of stability and service to the community is outstanding. I look forward to helping to continue that tradition.”
First National Bank of the Rockies was originally founded as The First National Bank of Meeker in 1904. Today, the bank serves customers throughout western Colorado with locations in Craig, Grand Junction, Hayden, Meeker, Oak Creek, Rangely and Steamboat Springs.
