MEEKER I Local high school basketball players from around the state got a taste of what it really takes to elevate their game to the next level when the Jason Otter School of Basketball came to town June 5.
Known as one of the most intense basketball camps available today, Jason Otter, 38, trains players of all ranges from NBA to elite high school players, and young college and high school players around the country. A former Division I and professional player, Otter explained, “Our training system is designed to help athletes maximize their athletic abilities by making their movement more efficient.”
The Meeker High School gym was packed with 38 eager player ages 9 to 18, nervously awaiting the arrival of Otter. From the moment he and his wife Christy, 33, walked through the door the entire demeanor of the room changed.
“Our camps are like none other in the country. They are strictly individual skill development camps,” Otter said. “We do not play games. We work to make you the best player you can be and teach you how to make the others around you better.”
