MEEKER | Three juveniles have been referred to court for arson and curfew violations from an incident on July 22 at 2:44 a.m. where the juveniles took cardboard and wood from the recycle center and placed it behind a monument in the town park and started a fire.
Three juveniles also have been referred to court for burglary, theft and curfew violations from an incident where Old Crow Liquor Store’s window was broken and alcohol was taken on July 14. Some of the alcohol was recovered.
Brianna Avrit, 21, was arrested on theft of vehicle charges in Denver, Colo., after an arrest warrant was issued for her stemming from a July 18 incident where Avrit was alleged to have taken the vehicle while the owner was inside the clerk and recorder’s office obtaining license plates. Avrit and a male she was with in Denver were also charged for possession of meth.
On July 17, a 54-year-old Meeker man was arrested on felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge, where he was alleged to have given his son and other minors alcohol.
Chief Phil Stubblefield commended his officers for their quick and thorough investigations.
