The Meeker Thunder traveling baseball team won the Triple Crown-Eagle Tournament over Memorial Day weekend winning three of four games.
The championship was clinched with an exciting grand slam home run by Logan Hughes. Playing for the Thunder in front are: Taylor Dodds, Doak Mantle, Noah Mayerle, Garrett Frantz, Uri Goedert and Luis Villalpando. In back are Logan Hughes, Eli Neuman, Hunter Garcia, Trapper Merrifield and coach Brian Merrifield. Cooper Meszaros played and was injured by a line drive and is not pictured, a full recovery is expected. Jacob Pelloni, Eli Hanks and Kale Burke also play on the team but are not pictured. The Thunder will play in the Mountain Magic tournament in Steamboat Springs on June 20-21.
