A new courtyard on the Rangely Campus is under construction and will be the home of a time capsule commemorating the last 50 years of Colorado Northwestern Community College. The courtyard under the trees will feature a vault in its center that will house the capsule and will have bench seating around its perimeter.
The time capsule is 14”x14”x28” so it will have plenty of room to place mementos of the whole college’s history, including the early Rangely College campus, the Craig Campus, which has grown and changed immensely over the years, and the service centers in Meeker, Hayden, and South Routt County.
At Saturday’s 50th Anniversary Re-dedication Celebration, guests will be asked for suggestions for items for the Time Capsule. A committee will choose the final items to completely fill the capsule and it will be sealed at a later date.
