MEEKER — On Aug. 14, the Meeker Police Department received a call at approximately 2:15 a.m. of two suspicious males unloading items from a vehicle in the Karen Court area.
Lieutenant Glenn Wilson responded and contacted the two males who were identified as Terry Kelly, a 33-year-old male, and Jesus Lopez, a 26-year-old male.
Lopez, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A short time later Lieutenant Wilson received a call of a theft from a vehicle and he realized the items reported missing matched the description of the items the suspects had been removing from their vehicle.
The police department received calls that items had been stolen from six vehicles and one garage and had a value of $5,437.
Lieutenant Wilson and Officer Jeremy Muxlow responded to the address on Karen Court where the suspects were staying and again contacted Kelly.
After obtaining consent to search the apartment the officers located a large amount of the stolen items.
