Ballots have been mailed to registered voters in Rio Blanco County and I encourage everyone to please vote.
Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder Nancy Amick said some of the ballots for the Meeker School District RE-1 election were inadvertently printed with “Sample Ballot” on them but they will still be counted (please read related article on page 3A of this week’s issue).
Voters will choose from five candidates for three seats on each of the school boards in the county and voters on the west end of the county will have a choice of three candidates for the Rangely Junior College District for two board of trustee seats. The Nov. 1 ballot also includes the only state issue, Proposition 103, which asks voters if they would like to increase the rate of state income tax and sales and use taxes, requiring the additional revenue to be spent only to fund public education. Good luck to the candidates, thanks for running.
Please vote!
