RBC — A passenger was killed in a one-vehicle accident Dec. 17 on Highway 64, between Rangely and Dinosaur.
Otoniel Salguero of Roosevelt, Utah, was pronounced dead at the scene of the early morning rollover. The Colorado State Patrol investigated.
The 2003 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling too fast for the road conditions, according to the CSP report.
The vehicle “rotated counterclockwise as it traveled off the roadway and down a steep embankment,” according to the news release. “The 2003 Chevrolet rolled one complete time and ejected the front-seat passenger through the rear window. The front-seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.”
