Ute Park venue new to Range Call

MEEKER I Located immediately west of Meeker, Ute Park is the July 7 concert site. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with Cody Canada and the Departed taking the stage at 7 p.m. Vendor booths will be open at 5 p.m., providing food, wares and entertainment. Hot air balloon rides, a zip line, mechanical bull and bounce houses are just part of the fun.
To enter the concert, all traffic will be directed up 13th Street. If you need to purchase a wristband or pick your wristbands up at Will Call, you will be directed to the Park Street entrance. If you already have purchased your wristbands, you will be directed up to Garfield Street.
Once in Ute Park, you will park your vehicle and walk to the concert site. Please watch for gopher holes and uneven ground! Parking attendants will have reserved parking for older guests close to the pedestrian entrance. Handicapped patrons will be allowed to enter the west entrance, located where Main Street intersects Highway 13.
James’ Bus, our “tipsy taxi,” will be making continuous laps between the concert site and downtown. This is a great way to avoid the crowds and get home safely if you choose to drink at the event, you will be dropped off right at the west entrance. James’ Bus will start at 5 p.m., making stops at the fairgrounds, Market and School streets, Town Park and Sixth and Main streets. James’ Bus will also pick you up and drop you off right at your home, simply call Kathy Sizemore at 970-402-9453. This service is provided free of charge, donations are welcomed and go to the James Sizemore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
By show time, the sun will have already set on Ute Park, bring a light jacket. You are also encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Coolers and bags will be checked at the pedestrian entrance. Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages into the concert site. Also, due to high fire danger, smoking will not be allowed outside of your vehicle.
Following the event, portable lighting will be directed to the parking area. It is a good idea to bring a flashlight too. Both the Park and Garfield street gates will be opened, allowing traffic to return back to town.
