Six World War II veterans from Meeker went on the Western Slope Honor Flight trip in August to visit the war memorials in Washington, D.C. Applications are being accepted for next year’s Honor Flight trip, which will be in May. Veterans’ travel expenses are paid for by donations. To apply, WWII veterans can contact Tom Kilduff, commander of Meeker VFW Post 5843, at 878-4426. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
