More than 200 kids and adults participated in the Vicky Tate Fun Run/Walk, starting and ending at Barone Middle School on Tuesday.
The run/walk was rained out in May, so in honor of Tate, who retired at the end of the 2014 school year, the run/walk was used to start off the 2014-15 school year. “I was so excited to see so many kids and adults active and ready to go,” Tate said. MHS cross county runners Austin Russell and Marshal Poole pushed each other to the end but Russell crossed the finish line first.
