MEEKER I Drivers with the Colorado Grand vintage car tour are stopping in Meeker at noon today, and they will be greeted by the Meeker Lions Club members, who will provide the drivers with lunch.
The group is expected to arrive late morning, and the group will have lunch at Meeker Town Park at noon.
The public is invited to attend the greeting to meet the drivers and to see these vintage cars.
More than 85 vintage cars are being driver in this relaxed, non-competitive event, covering 1,000 miles through the Rockies in five days.
The Colorado Grand vintage car tour currently generates well in excess of $300,000 annually for small Colorado charities and Western Slope towns as well as for college scholarships to graduating high-school seniors in those towns, including Meeker.
