RANGELY — The W.A.R.M. program is closing up shop for the summer.
Regular monthly meetings run from October through April. W.A.R.M. (Winter Assistance Relief Management) is an independent energy assistance program operated by community volunteers and designed to help members of our community who may find themselves in need of temporary assistance with utility bills.
W.A.R.M. is funded by donations from within our community and a grand from Energy Outreach Colorado.
Since the program is operated by volunteers, a special thank you goes out to the employers who allow their employees the time to be involved with this program: Colorado CPA Service, Deserado Coal Mine, the town of Rangely and Rio Blanco County.
The town of Rangely has been the largest donor to the program, but without business and individual donations, the program could not function as well as it has.
Recent donations include: Peter Brixius — $100, First National Bank of the Rockies — $100; Ducey’s Electric — $100; Rangely Trash Service — $200, Deserado Mine — $500.
