RANGELY I The Rangely High School golfing Panthers competed at Yampa Valley Golf Course on Aug. 27, when they had to battle strong winds on the course.
Marshal Way led the way with an 81, followed by Nick Burri with a 92, Robert Dunker took several strokes off his previous best and carded a 105, James Scoggins shot a 130 and Jarrod Fiscus came in a few strokes behind.
The junior varsity team played as well. Austin, Landon and Caleb all enjoyed the course and were quite able to handle the competition. They played some very good holes and are improving daily.
The golf team will play home on Friday, starting at 10 a.m.
The next golf update will follow regionals, which are being held in Durango on Monday and Tuesday.
