Congressman Scott Tipton (R-CO) today announced “Small Biz Open Mic,” a new interactive forum that gives American small businesses the opportunity to provide feedback to the House Small Business Committee on how government is helping or harming their businesses.
Tipton said, “It’s important that Congress hears directly from our country’s job-creators on how government is impacting their small businesses. As a member of the Small Business Committee I value the feedback and statements that are provided at our committee hearings, but understand that for many small business owners traveling to Washington to take part in a hearing is not always an option. Small Biz Open Mic allows all small business owners to make their voices heard and provide valuable feedback to the Committee that will help drive our work here in Washington. I encourage small business owners in the Third District to take part in the discussion by logging onto the Small Biz Open Mic website and telling their stories.”
The Small Biz Open Mic forum is an exciting new media forum that encourages blog-type comments and testimonials from small business owners across America regarding government policies, and allows participants to comment on committee news, legislation, hearing information and stories that relate to small business growth and development. Comments from participants about legislation and policies that impact small businesses will be used to help the committee conduct its official business.
