The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600.

For the last week the dispatch center processed 490 phone calls, receiving 25 911 calls, 69 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 154 outgoing phone calls.. A total of 168 calls for service were created, 91 for the Sheriff’s Office, 78 for MPD, and six calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of two auto crashes were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 40 traffic stops issuing six summons, while the MPD had 14 stops with three summons.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s Office included 13 agency assists, one 911 hang up, one alarm, six animal calls, four civil papers served, three business checks, four citizen assists, one DUI, one fraud report, two suspicious incidents, one traffic accident, two traffic complaints, two VIN inspections and two warrant arrests.
MPD calls included five agency assists, seven 911 hang up, one alarm, 10 animal calls, 11 business checks, seven citizen assists, four civil issues, three fraud cases, two gas skips, one theft, four traffic complaints and three VIN inspections.
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to one ambulance request, one medical transport and one motor vehicle crash.
There were three assists with Colorado State Patrol.
Rio Blanco Detentions facility booked in eight and released eight and currently have 13 inmates.
Two DUI arrests were made.
