Weekly Call Review: March 9, 2017

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.
Feb. 20-26
For the last week the dispatch center received 349 incoming phone calls and placed 94 outgoing calls, received 12 911 calls. There were 27 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD), which all resulted in 75 calls for service, 52 for the Sheriff’s Office, 23 for MPD, five with State Patrol and four calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five accidents were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s office conducted 14 traffic stops issuing two citations and 12 warnings, while the Meeker PD had four stops issuing four warnings. Agency assists totaled 15, 13 for the Sheriff’s Office and two for MPD.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s deputies included three animal calls, six assists to CSP, six motorists assists, three suspicious incidents, one theft, two traffic accidents, two trespass calls and four VIN inspections.
MPD calls included three animal calls, four business checks, two suspicious incidents, one traffic accident and two VIN inspections.
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to four calls.
There were 10 arrests, five releases and two transports, the Detention Center currently has 14 inmates.
There were no DUI arrests.
Feb. 2-March 5
For the last week the dispatch center received 482 incoming phone calls and placed 151 outgoing calls, received 46 911 calls, 34 calls for Meeker PD, which all resulted in 115 calls for service, 68 for the Sheriff’s Office, 49 for Meeker PD, and six calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five accidents were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s office conducted 32 traffic stops issuing six citations and 26 warnings, while the Meeker PD had two stops issuing one warning and one citation.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s deputies included 14 agency assists, two DUIs, four motorist assists, five suspicious incidents and three warrant arrests.
Meeker Police Department calls included nine agency assists, three alarms, two animal calls, five business checks, one domestic violence, six suspicious incidents, one missing person, two traffic accidents and five VIN inspections.
Meeker Fire and Rescue responded to six calls, one medical transports, three ambulance responses and two accidents.
There were 11 arrests, seven releases and one transport, the Detentions Center currently has 12 inmates.
There were seven assists to Colorado State Patrol, three car vs. deer and two minor injury accidents.
There were two DUI arrests.
