Weekly Call Review: November 14-28, 2016

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.
Nov. 14-20
This last week the dispatch center received a total of 412 incoming and placed 97 outgoing phone calls, received 41 911 calls and 38 calls for Meeker PD. These calls resulted in 137 calls for service, 77 for the Sheriff’s Office, 56 for Meeker PD, two calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue and 11 for the Colorado State Patrol. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five accidents were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 23 traffic stops issuing five citations and 19 warnings, while the Meeker PD had eight stops with warnings on all. Agency assists totaled 17, 11 for the Sheriff’s Office and six for MPD.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s Deputies included seven animal calls, two business checks, three citizen assists, two jail transports, six motorist assists, two thefts, five traffic accidents and one VIN inspection.
One ATV accident outside of Rangely sent the driver to Rangely District Hospital with minor injuries. He had wrecked around sunrise and was discovered by a Colorado Parks and Rec Wildlife officer around noon the same day.
Meeker Police Department calls included two animal calls, four citizen assists, two reports of domestic violence, one traffic accident and three vin inspections.
There were seven arrests and the Detention Center had 12 inmates. Assists to the Colorado State Patrol were 11, 10 involving car/deer accidents. One DUI arrest was made.
Nov. 21-28
This last week the dispatch center received a total of 395 incoming and placed 137 outgoing phone calls, received 13 911 calls and 36 calls for Meeker PD. These calls resulted in 108 calls for service, 75 for the Sheriff’s Office, 31 for Meeker PD, four calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue and eight for the Colorado State Patrol. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five accidents were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 20 traffic stops issuing two citations and 18 warnings, while the Meeker PD had six stops with five warnings and one citation. Agency assists totaled 17, 11 for the Sheriff’s Office and six for MPD.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s deputies included five animal calls, one assault, one MIP, six motorist assists, one suicide, three traffic accidents and one VIN inspection.
Meeker Police Department calls included two animal calls, four citizen assists, two reports of domestic violence, one traffic accident and one VIN inspection.
