Weekly Call Review: Sept. 11-24, 2017

The following information is a weekly review of the calls for service that were reported to the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Communications Office. If you have any questions or would like an explanation of the call types listed please call 878-9600. We will not regularly post any information as to the names or addresses on any incident.

Sept. 11-17, 2017
For the last week the dispatch center processed 527 phone calls, receiving 33 911 calls, 62 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 137 outgoing phone calls. A total of 159 calls for service were created, 77 for the Sheriff’s Office, 80 for MPD and 13 calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five auto crashes were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 15 traffic stops issuing one summons, while the MPD had 18 stops with two summons.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s Office included 13 agency assists, one 911 hang up, five animal calls, one assault, four civil papers served, one attended death, five citizen assists, two BLM fires, four motorist assists, three suspicious incidents, two traffic crashes, four traffic complaints, one each trespass, VIN inspection and warrant arrest.
Meeker Police Department calls included nine agency assists, two 911 hang-ups, 10 animal calls, three business checks, seven citizen assists, four civil calls, one disturbance, two gas skips, one juvenile call, one littering, three motorist assists, one sexual assault, three suspicious incidents, one theft, one traffic crash, three traffic complaints and five VIN inspections.
There were 12 calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue responding to four ambulance requests, five medical transports, two motor vehicle crashes and one citizen assist.
There were seven assists with Colorado State Patrol.
Rio Blanco Detention facility booked in nine and released 13 and currently have 11 inmates.
There were three DUI arrests for the Sheriff’s Office.

Sept. 18-24, 2017
For the last week the dispatch center processed 536 phone calls, receiving 28 911 calls, 91 calls for Meeker Police Department (MPD) and placed 136 outgoing phone calls. A total of 165 calls for service were created, 78 for the Sheriff’s Office, 80 for MPD, and 10 calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue. (Please note the department breakdown of calls reflects a different number because of incidents with multiple agency response). A total of five auto crashes were reported throughout the county.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted 23 traffic stops issuing three summons, while the MPD had 28 stops with two summons.
Other calls for the Sheriff’s Office included 13 agency assists, three 911 hang ups, two abandoned vehicles, three animal calls, six civil papers served, four business checks, two BLM fires, four motorist assists, two suspicious incidents, three traffic complaints, four warrant arrests, and one each: VIN, trespass, juvenile problem, disturbance, citizen assist and bond revocation.
Meeker Police Department calls included 12 agency assists, four 911 hang ups, one alarm, 10 animal calls, one assault, two business checks, three citizen assists, seven civil issues, four disturbances, two domestic violence, two harassment, one MIP, six suspicious incidents, three thefts, two VIN inspections and one each: warrant arrest, traffic complaint, bond revocation, motorist assist.
There were eight calls for Meeker Fire and Rescue responding to five ambulance requests, one medical transport and two motor vehicle crashes.
There were three assists with Colorado State Patrol.
Rio Blanco Detentions facility booked in 13 and released seven and currently have 14 inmates.
There were no DUI arrests.
