Wildfire hazard reduction

RBC I The Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service plan to issue multiple contracts for a wide range of fuels management reduction work to reduce the risk of wildland fires. To help potential contractors understand this solicitation pre-bid workshops have been scheduled.
The services in these contracts are designed to provide for wildfire hazard reduction, prescribed burning, and related services. This contract may require vegetation manipulation, burn unit preparation, and prescribed burning. This may include furnishing labor, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to conduct slashing, girdling, lop and scatter, selective slashing, pruning, hand piling and cover, grubbing, fire line construction, fuels pullback, prescribed burning, snag felling, roadblock removal/restoration and herbicide application.
Hazardous fuel reduction treatments and related services within this contract may occur in any of the 50 states. The country is divided into six geographic regions, Midwest, Northwest, Pacific, Rocky Mountain, Southeast and Southwest. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside.
Solicitation Number L12PS00465 for this Request for Proposals will close on Nov. 1, 2012.
