Rangely resident Brittanie Meinzer took first place in her weight class and age division at the American Powerlifting Federation’s Utah State Championships and National Qualifier at West Jordan’s Elite Performance Gym on Feb. 28. In addition to earning top honors for the highest combined total in squat (198 pounds), bench press (131 pounds) and dead lift (298 pounds), Meinzer, a mother of three, set new personal bests in all three categories.
