MEEKER — The Meeker town board of trustees meeting March 17 will include a discussion workshop about the proposed Second Street extension from Sulphur Creek to Market Street.
Mayor Mandi Etheridge said she wants the public to understand that while all members of the public are welcome to attend the workshop, it’s not a time to make public comment “for the sake of our efficiency in discussion as a board.”
Etheridge encouraged community members to “come listen to the discussion” but asked that those who attend plan to hold their comments for the public participation period at the April 7 meeting.
The board is still waiting for results from the feasibility study to determine if extending Second Street is physically possible.
“Hopefully by the middle of this month we’ll have enough information to move forward,” said Town Administrator Sharon Day.
The workshop portion of the meeting will take place following the regular meeting agenda, which begins at 7 p.m., March 17, at Town Hall. Etheridge reiterated that the public is invited.
