WREA, White River Energy grand re-opening…

This is the new look at the front of the remodeled White River Electric Association building at 6th and Market streets in Meeker. The offices of the WREA reopened on July 18 back at their regular office location and a grand opening for the public to view the changes inside was held Tuesday.

The well-used Kilowatt Korner meeting room at the southern end of the WREA building was remodeled and enlarged during the recent several-month project on the local and corporate office building. The public will no longer enter Kilowatt Korner through the door on Market Street, although that will remain in place as an emergency exit. The public will enter the room through a new door right inside the remodeled front door to the business.

The business office of the White River Electric Association has taken on a new look with the corporation’s multi-month project to remodel the building after severe water damage occurred on the ground floor. A wall was eliminated on the left side of the old business office to add more office space. The floor was replaced throughout the building and the business office itself was remodeled and reconfigured so Kim Dungan, working above, and the other employees have more room and more comfortable surroundings.
