Ronald A. Granger, currently the vice president for Administration Services at Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyo., had been chosen from among four candidates, McCallan announced.
Granger emigrated west from Missouri, where he received his bachelor of science degree in business education from Missouri Southern State University in 1976 and his masters of science in educational administration from Missouri State University in 1991.
After holding various teaching and administration positions at Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., Granger relocated in 2012 to his current position at Central Wyoming College.
Granger comes with numerous accomplishments under his belt , including his serving on the Governor’s Task Force for Workforce Development, he has experience working with the Wyoming State Legislature create a new funding formula for the community colleges and he successfully increased enrollment, retention and graduation rates while at CWC.
Additionally, Granger has participated in raising more than $5 million for construction projects and more than $15 million in grants.
A final decision regarding the CNCC presidential position and Mr. Granger is expected to be made by the CNCC College Board no sooner than two weeks from May 26.
