RANGELY I Coaches are always looking for improvement, and Derek Stolworthy liked what he saw.
“We did extremely well. We had 10 placers and even though we were among the smallest schools there, we took fourth out of nine teams,” said the Rangely Junior High wrestling coach.
Panther wrestlers who placed at last Saturday’s Hayden tournament were: Ethan Allred, first, 115; Ryan Wilczek, first, 155; Ketsen Rouse, second, 65; Trevor Brown, second, 145; Shawn Hairston, second, 165; Heath Peters, third, 85; Lucas Heinle, third, 125; Blade Rose, fourth, 75; and Kelton Elam, fourth, 110.
“I’m very proud of every one of our wrestlers,” Stolworthy said. “Even those who didn’t place wrestled well.”
Rangely will host Meeker’s Barone Middle in a dual at 5 p.m. today, and then travel to a tournament Saturday at Soroco.
